Our Church Pastor, Ptr. Arnel T. Arcega with the JILAC Leadership decided to stage a concert for a cause last April 24, 2009 in order for the Church to purchase a new drum set. Siyempre pag sinabing “Concert” yan di pahuhuli ang mga KKBs dyan. Lalo na sa pag-sayaw at pag-awit. Of course the Concert was a success, at lahat nagenjoy. Workforce ata mga KKBAC and we enjoyed every moment of that concert. Especially the Movie “A very Special Love” starring Sis. Lyn Diza and Bro. Mark Dela Vega (insert kilig shout here) ehehe… Pero alam nyo ba may part 2 ang concert na ito? stay tuned for that. Sa December pa yun. Andoon din si Bro. Jerome (Isa sa mga Musikatha) he helped the VIA/JAM to stage the concert. (insert Rodel dito singing “Angels brought me here” feeling na feeling ang boses hehe). Grabe. Ang Saya! Saya!

The First Batch of Encounter Retreat was last April 3-4, 2009. The KKB Angeles were able to send (9) nine delegates, they were Jomar, Francis, Kelly, Christian, Joel, Nomiel, Jenny, Cha, and Junierose ; and these delegates were transformed once they cried unto God and ask God for forgiveness. Also, there was some bonding from the Area19A (from Magalang and Mabalacat). And as of today, this maybe the last batch of KKB Angeles ER Delegates that will be send every ER (Encounter Retreat) in San Fernando because the next ER will be held per area. And right now the KKB Angeles leadership were preparing for the next ER which will be held on May 29, 2009 at the JIL Angeles Main Church.

For the Month of March, there are two sundays with the program “SBB” or Sunday Bonding Barkada. The first SBB was last March 8, 2009 and the part two was last March 22, 2009. The first SBB was held in preparation for the JILAC Anniversary, while the second SBB was held to thank God and all the leaders, workers and members who participated in the successful JILAC Anniversary last March 15, 2009. Both program started at exact 3:00pm with a fellowship led by Sis. Chette Dizon and everyone enjoyed the Sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit as well as their fellow KKBs. There were also some discovered talents and gifts from the KKB Angeles. (aba! Marami palang magagaling na Artist sa KKB angeles! Hindi lang yun, ang gaganda nang kanilang mga drawings.)
See for yourself

Our Church, JIL Angeles held their thanksgiving last March 15, 2009. It was held in Angeles City Library (was known as Lazatin-tayag before). Truly that God moved mightily in the midst of His people. The Program started at 3pm and ended at 7pm. The theme, “Overflowing Blessings and Overflowing Miracles” really manifested in each people who attended the said glorious event. The Place was jampacked; the Worship Team were jumping and declaring God’s faithfulness in JILAC and all the CDNs who performed for the Glory of God did their best. There was a certain youth that was blind; who was healed. A youth asking for a job for many months and God answered his prayer. A youth who ignores her calling and after she was being ministered; the fear that satan put in her heart left her. Grabe ang miracles ni Lord noong araw na yun. Truly our God is really alive! Hindi lang yun, hindi nahirapan ang mga mobilization team because even though it was hot… the pillar of clouds surrounded the whole Angeles City (as God told Ptr. Arnel Arcega, our Church Pastor… He will send Pillar of Clouds, as a sign that He will be by our side for our Anniversary).

The KKB Angeles leadership had their monthly general assembly last February 16, 2009. As Sister Bheng preceded the meeting, the Holy Spirit spoke to her and told her that the next program for KKB Youth is film showing. When she told the leadership about that; Bro.Philip suggested a movie that would made a great impact to the KKBs as well as other networks, and so last February 22, 2009… the KKB Angeles program was Film showing. The program started at 3:00pm after the usual Life group. Opening Prayer was led by our OIC, Sis. Bheng Pontojas, the Praise and Worship was led by Sis.Lyn Diza, Word of God by Sis. Carol Morales (JILAC YAM / VIA/JAM HEAD) and the ministering was led by Bro. Philip John Abad. There were 67 KKBs attended the said program and everyone were refreshed and were renewed by the Holy Spirit after they watched the Film. When Bro.Philip did the altar call, no KKB Angeles remained in his/her seat; everyone went to the altar and renewed their salvation. The Move of the Holy Spirit was tremendous… Jesus embraced everyone. Leaders and Workers who were in the verge of giving up because of preasures in life; were refreshed by the Living Water (Jesus) and there were first timers who truly accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Not only that, the teacher of our Montessori SCOM came to visit; and experienced God’s Love as well.

Caught up in sorrow, lost in the song
By Pastor Emil Galang and the KKB Core Leaders
Not everything that is pleasing to the ear is pleasing to God.
What is emo?
Emo is a subgenre of hardcore punk that started in the 80s and has ever since become pervasive with the rise of artists and bands that used it to rocket albums into hit charts. Later, emo wasn’t just about the musical vocal attribute, but the lifestyle and expression marked by dark elements of style- piercing and heavy make up, indicative of the heavy overtones in the message of its songs. Today, emo has become a cult that deceives young people into believing it’s good to celebrate emotionally- charged expressions. We need to understand that we are spiritual in nature, and music is a spiritual vessel that can be inhabited by spirits. Psalm 22:3 says, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” We relate to a spiritual being— God—when we worship and sing praises. In the same way, when we immerse our spiritual side to an overwhelming interaction with emo music, our spirits commingle with the spirits that inhabit that type of music. In other words, music is channeled by the spirits which use it.
Whose spirit is emo?
The Bible clearly says that we recognize whether one is for God through the fruits of his spirit (Matt. 17:16). Let us compare godly and emo music and see what fruits their spirits bear: Christian music is among the highest forms of worship to God. It connects the soul and spirit to the heart of God and it is used to send a message of hope to mankind. By contrast, most if not all messages of emo are about angst and melancholy that chokes the soul with despair and remorse, yielding emotional effects that could satisfy and nurture sad feelings. No wonder suicide incidents have become the most terrifying of its upshots. As consistently taught by our church leaders, we should be extra careful with the music we play and listen to. We should refrain from patronizing emo songs much less adapting the lifestyle they promote and the culture they breed. We should be sensitive enough to discern what is for God and what is not by praying and asking the Holy Spirit’s guidance, taking the initiative to consult your local youth leader about your musical and lifestyle choices, and researching about their background.

If the whole world celebrates Love together with their love ones, the KKB Angeles celebrated and senerade the true author of Love which is “Jesus Christ”. Last February 15, 2009 after Valentines day, instead of having a “Seminar” all about Love, the KKB Angeles Leadership with the guidance and knowledge of the Holy Spirit; held a “Worship Fest for God”. The Service is all about touching the “heart of God” and serenade Him with love songs. Ahh.. Love is in the air, the Love of God is flowing upon the lives of the KKBs youth in the said event. Truly that when we pleased the very heart of God; we will experience Him and we will feel His embrace to Us. Many of the KKBs felt God’s presence, as a result…many of them cried during Worship time; many first timers were touched and felt God’s presence. Indeed that the KKB Angeles not only touched but tickled the heart of God in that said event.
